DISCOVER THE HEALING BENEFITS OF HALOTHERAPY
FIND YOUR BREATH
Salt cave therapy, also known as halotherapy, originated in Eastern Europe, where people would enter salt caves for 2-3 hours per day. While we don’t have access to these same caves, the concentrated nature of the salt cave and halogenerator replicate this experience in a 45 minute session.
Surrounded by Himalayan pink salt bricks, you will feel transported to a healing oasis. Extremely fine salt crystals are streamed into the room to simulate the microclimate of a natural salt cave. These fine particles breakup accumulated mucus and congestion in the respiratory system which builds up and contributes to allergies, chronic colds, and respiratory inflammation. Additionally, salt crystals emit negative ions, which counteract and neutralize the oxidative positive ions that are present due to everyday pollutants and high EMF concentration. The therapeutic benefits include stress reduction, immune and respiratory support, and detoxification. Himalayan salt is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial in the body.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We recommend you wear comfortable clothes and socks. The salt cave is kept at 65 degrees, but blankets are available. Each person will have a variety of seating options including zero-gravity chairs, large bean bag chairs, or meditation bolsters. Up to two people may be in each session.
While you are welcome to bring water into the salt cave, it is not recommended during a session as it counteracts the benefits of the halotherapy. We recommend waiting 20 minutes following your session before drinking any liquids.
BENEFITS OF HALOTHERAPY
-
NERVOUS SYSTEM
It is easy for our body to become overwhelmed amidst the overstimulation and stressors of everyday life. It is important to intentionally relax the nervous system, which is responsible for balancing and regulating all systems of the body for optimal functioning.
-
RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
Halotherapy is renowned for its respiratory benefits. Dry salt particles accelerate the transportation of mucus and eliminate residual tar and foreign allergens. A clean respiratory system naturally results in higher oxygen intake, increased energy, and an improved immune system.
-
INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM
The skin is the largest organ in the body. What we put on our skin and how we care for it directly impacts our internal health. Salt therapy normalizes skin pH, which encourages skin regeneration and therefore is excellent for healing. It is additionally antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and supports the release of excess fluid trapped in the tissues.
ALMOST EVERYTHING WILL WORK AGAIN IF YOU UNPLUG IT FOR A FEW MINUTES, INCLUDING YOU.
