WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Cosmetic acupuncture treatments are 90 minutes.

All treatments start with gua and cupping to prep the skin, starting to move the blood and stimulate the lymph. This is followed by needling the body, neck, head, and face. It is important to treat the whole body both to ground the energy and prevent headaches as well as addressed internal health and harmony of the patient. Patients rest for 25-30 minutes under LED light to further enhance the treatment. Treatments are then finished with a blend of gua sha and manual lymphatic drainage depending on the patient’s needs.

Cosmetic Acupuncture is intended to be done as a series of 12-15 treatments that build on one another. It is recommended to come in at minimum once a week (this may very with age), but an ideal series will be twice a week for three to four weeks followed by weekly sessions for the remainder of the foundation series. You will be asked to book these sessions at the start of the series to ensure commitment and availability.

Additionally, we recommend microneedling every 4 - 6 weeks for a course of 3 - 6 treatments depending on age and condition to compliment cosmetic acupuncture. The integrated benefits of these two treatments can create dramatic results while restimulating the body’s natural anti-aging mechanism to produce collagen and elastin even after treatment finishes.
